Ruth joined ACOP in 2011. Before that, she sold her craft at markets at Narrabeen and St Ives.
Ruth learned her folk art from Lorraine Wingfield for many years, and also paints such items for the home as stools, boxes, cradles, trays, pen holders, lazy susans - anything wooden.
She has joined the Folk Art Association and has exhibited her folk art at Darling Harbour and Glebe Island.
Her canvases hang at ACOP exhibitions and she has painted in oils and acrylics, and won second prize at the art show at Dee Why for an oil painting (at the former McDowells).
